Offline floppy image editing/creation

Floppy baker (https://soniccharge.com/floppybaker) works brilliantly when I'm online - but when making music I prefer to work on a computer that's not connected to the internet.

I have tried WinImage but the process wasn't successful, I think because the .imz files it creates are different... I might have another look later, but interested to know what other people have tried.

Yes, you need to save in raw image format, which has the .IMA extension (where as .IMZ is a compressed format).

Make sure you use 720kb floppy format and that all filenames follow FAT12 restrictions.

    • 8.3 file names FILENAME.EXT
    • max 11 character volume name
    • no special characters like *?" <>|\/:+,;=[]
